Photo by Joe McNally. This photo is amazing. The colors are amazing, the lighting is amazing, and the subject is amazing. McNally got the woman's toe right above the sun, so that's amazing too. The beach is always a great location, and this is one of the best beach pictures I've seen. It's overall a very appealing photograph :)
Photo by Joe Buissink. First of all, this little girl is adorable... so that makes the picture appealing. Also, the short depth of field makes the picture much more appealing than a long depth of field would. I like the pose of the little kid, and I like how big and black her eyes are. I admire Bussink's ability to capture a moment like this.
Photo by Steve McCurry. This photo is super attractive, and it almost looks like a painting. The background is breathtaking and the main subjects are unique and interesting. I mean, who do you know that gets to ride on the front of a train?
Photo by Steve McCurry. This photograph has an interesting subject and location. I admire how McCurry took the photograph right as the little boy was turning the corner and off of the ground. I also find that the colors give the picture more energy, like the boy has. It's cool but creepy how the red handprints are on the wall.
Photo by Annie Leibovitz. The shadows in this photo make it very dramatic and intense. I like the emotion it has in it. The man adds the emotion by creating a sense of lonliness and inferiority as he stands in the middle of the giant rock walls with another very tall building in the background.
Photo by Danny Clinch. This photo is so strange that it's kind of appealing. I like how the man is in such an awkward pose showing so much emotion. The lighting is in an interesting place, and it makes the photo much more dramatic.
Photo by Danny Clinch. This photograph reveals how energetic the crowd is. The contrast between the white castle and gloomy sky is appealing. I love how this photo makes you feel as if you are in the crowd, and it is different from the typical close-up shots of musicians.
Photo by Walde Huth. I like how the colors and simplicity of this photo catch my eye. The stripes and the pose of the woman make the picture more interesting, as well as the position of the black and white furniture. I also love the vintage look of it.
This photograph, by Cecil Beaton, is appealing because of the way the woman is framed and the way the white light comes in from the back to surround the subject.
This photograph, taken by Norman Parkinson, has an appealing location as well as interesting subjects. New York City was an appealing place to take the picture because of its skyscrapers. It is interesting how Parkinson positioned the fashionably dressed women against the drab gray and white background. The eye is immediately drawn to the bright red hat, which contrasts the overcast sky. It is appealing how the women are posed to create a feeling of secrecy and gossip.
